Ukrainians of Colorado is hosting a film event: “Freedom Under Fire: Ukraine in Three Films”. The evening will feature films and reflection tracing Ukraine’s journey from the Soviet era to the present-day war.

3:30 PM – Chernobyl - created and written by Craig Mazin and directed by Johan Renck.
First episode of the famous HBO series will be presented.
The series is about the disastrous events of 1986 at Chernobyl, Ukraine, and the cleanup efforts that followed
4:30 PM* – Children in the Fire - awards winning film by Evgeny Afineevsky
The eight young Ukrainians, that are followed through the film, are vibrant, ambitious and full of wonder. They love
their country, and they strive to energize and rebuild their communities. Each represents millions of children who have
been subjected to violence yet refuse to be broken.
