Position Description: Helps us and run existing and establish new text-based social media platforms like X/Twitter, BlueSky, Threads.
Basic Duties:
adapt Facebook and Instagram posts to X/Twitter, BlueSky, Threads format
create new content formats tailored to X/Twitter, BlueSky, Threads platforms
plan, roll out, and maintain out account at new text-based platforms
Time engagement expectation: 3-6 hours / week
Minimum position commitment: 3-6 months
Preferred Qualifications:
current user of text-based social media platforms, with inclination to write
basic computer skills: text processing, calendar/scheduling, image
responsibility to commitments, and coordination with others
Team: You will work in the communications department, in collaboration with the rest of the social media team members that specialize in content creation and text for more graphics oriented platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
Location: remote work is acceptable, involves online meetings.

Position Description: Capture videos and short interviews at local events, volunteer engagements, and team meetings.
Basic Duties:

Team: You will work in the communications department, in collaboration with the other team members that specialize in organizing events and editing/posting content on social media (Facebook/Instagram, Youtube, Patreon etc.)
Location: Denver metro area, Colorado (Boulder, Denver, other towns)

Position Description: Reach out and coordinate with local Colorado and domestic USA companies to solicit excess stock or surplus items needed in Ukraine, in exchange for non-profit donation receipt for tax write off.
Basic Duties:
reach out to former in-kind donor companies to thank and ask for more
expand the list of local companies that can provide needed item, and reach out to them
organize donations pick up from the company and delivery of tax deductible receipts
Time engagement expectation: 2-4 hours / week
Minimum position commitment: 4-6 months
Preferred Qualifications:
enjoys talking to people: comfortable picking up a phone and calling people that you don’t know
networking skills: some idea of how small and large businesses work, asking people for additional contacts
basic understanding of the current and evolving military and civilian needs in Ukraine
Team: You will work in the delivery department, in collaboration with the other team members that specialize in established routes of procuring and supplying material aid to Ukraine, and in coordination with Ukrainian team members.
Location: preferred - Denver metro area, possible - remote

Position Description: work with others to help run and improve a marketing program for new contact or donor acquisition through online platforms such as Google ads, Meta advertising, and similar, with the ad budget up to $10,000/month.
Basic Duties:
improve/optimize existing ad campaigns on google ads, such as donations or store sales
initiate and test new types of campaigns, such as event tickets, or gift-for-subscription
build out the marketing program to new platforms , such as Meta advertising
Time engagement expectation: 4-8 hours / week
Minimum position commitment: 3-6 months
Preferred Qualifications:
detail oriented, solid time commitment to the project at hand, responsive to feedback
basic understand of structured online content (text, images, video) management platforms, such as google ads

Team: You will work at the intercept of the fundraising and communication department, in collaboration with the other team members that work on google ads and Meta.

Basic Duties:
ship items in response to web store orders
update the list of items, after some have been distributed at event, order to restock
keep other volunteers on point for checking out and checking in event supplies

available for occasional hands-on work at the storage warehouse
Team: You will work at the administrative department, in collaboration with the other team members specializing in design/procurement of items, event manager, and volunteer coordinator.

Position Description: help us organize monthly or quarterly low-key gatherings for team members, volunteers, donors and other community members.
Basic Duties:
develop and maintain a schedule of events dates and locations
send out reminders to the likely attendees, bring basic supplies (cards, brochures,…)
facilitate interactions at events by proposing a discussion topic, inviting a team member for QA, discussing recent news, viewing a short movie, and so on.
Time engagement expectation: 8 hours / month
Minimum position commitment: 3-4 months
Preferred Qualifications:
loves to organize events, gatherings, talk to people
good with coordination and timing: scheduling, reminders, thank you notes
good communication skills for in-team work, attending online coordination meetings
Team: You will work at the events department, in collaboration with the other team members specializing in organizing our own big/formal events, and tabling participation in other events.

Position Description: For SFSU spec ops division we are looking for a person interested and efficient with drones for cooperation in different anti drone projects. Having multiple FPV drones for testing is a HUGE ps.
Basic Duties:Participate in discussions and designs of anti-drone systems
Participate in development
Help with field tests (flying drones with possibility of drones being damaged/destroyed)

Position Description: Assist in acquisition of medical aid for Defenders.
Basic Duties:
Communicate with in-kind donors and other organizations
Help prepare and maintain up-to-date lists of needed medical aid
Research possible acquisition sources for necessary aid
Time engagement expectation: 2-5 hours / week
Minimum position commitment: 3-6 months
Preferred Qualifications:
Good communication skills
Able to regularly check different communication platforms in order to reach out and respond to potential donors and partners
Basic research skills
Perseverence and creativity
Team: You will work with the SFSU delivery team to fullfill requests for medical aid. Will be communicating with individuals, organizations, non-profits, hospitals and businesses in order to source and aquire needed medicine, medical supplies, and medical equipment.

Position Description: Support SFSU’s mission by managing our organizational email inbox, which gives supporters and partners a reliable way to communicate with us.
Basic Duties:Monitor main SFSU email inbox, keeping it organized and addressing inquiries in a timely manner
Prioritize, sort and file incoming messages (approx. 5-15 daily)
Respond to general inquiries from donors and other contacts, route messages to appropriate SFSU volunteers for more specialized follow-up
Time engagement expectation: 2-5 hours per week
Minimum position commitment: 6 months (after trial period)

Willingness to learn about the structure, people, and activities of SFSU
Team: You will cooperate mainly with our Administrative lead to become familiar with the kinds of emails SFSU receives and how to handle them (with continuing support as you gain confidence). You will communicate and follow up with volunteers in other main areas: Finance, Events, Communications, Delivery, Fundraising, etc.
